Starlight Servers builds and operates physical network infrastructure: buildings, power, fibre, and the forwarding silicon that decides where a packet goes next. We have done it since 1979 for people who measure in years rather than quarters.

We do not sell software, we do not sell services on top of other people's hardware, and we have never operated a consumer product. When something on the net stops working, it is usually in a building. Some of those buildings are ours.

What we operate

01 — Colocation

Space, power, cooling, and the contract that says so

Cabinets to caged halls, 4 kW to 42 kW a rack, in carrier-neutral buildings we own rather than lease. Two independent feeds, N+1 mechanical as standard, 2N where the hall is sold that way.

Availability 99.999% at the busway. Measured, not asserted.

02 — IP transit

AS64502, and 41,880 route-km of our own fibre

Full tables, no default, BGP communities documented in public. We do not oversubscribe the backbone and we publish the utilisation curve that proves it.

Commits from 1 Gbit/s. Priced in credits, per Mbit/s, per month.

03 — Routing & peering

Open at fourteen exchanges

380 peers, open policy, no ratio requirement, no port fee for settlement-free interconnect at a common exchange. Private interconnect inside our halls is a cross-connect and is priced as one.

Peering requests answered in two working days.

04 — Routing silicon

Seven generations, designed here

We have built our own forwarding silicon since 1988 because the parts we could buy were not good enough and, eventually, because ours were better. The eighth family is in RTL.

Not sold externally. It is in the halls; the halls are faster.
